Remember, remember the 5th of November! Bonfire night is the perfect excuse for donning layers of chunky knits, fur and suede to create the very latest winter style statement with online fashion retailer Ellos. Get 20% off with code 4912, while stocks last.

Begin an outfit with a statement dress. This Ellos Three-Quarter Length Sleeves Dress, £39 features a cute Alpine pattern that wouldn’t look out of place après-Ski in France. Made from a wool and Alpaca knit mix, it’s super comfortable and can be paired with both leggings and skinny jeans.
Think winter warmers and you’ll envision leggings like these. Eye-catching pattern? Check. Chunky and warm cotton? Check. Elasticated and in a range of sizes? Check! Ellos Leggings, £17 are available in grey, brown or plum. We think a grey pair worn with our knit dress is a match made in heaven.
If you’ll be standing in a muddy field for most of Bonfire night, it’s best to avoid sky high platforms. We think these Ellos Chelsea style Ankle Boots, £79 are just the ticket in keeping warm and dry but bang on trend too. They feature elasticated sides and are made from real leather with a smooth fabric lining.
To keep the cold wind at bay, think over-sized, suede and fur. This Ellos Coat, £85 gives a nod to the popular androgyny trend this season, with dropped shoulders, a large suede effect shawl collar and tiny fur details on the trims. A sudden urge to drape over the shoulders and recite lines from The Godfather will be entirely normal.
Every great outfit needs accessories, so continuing the theme of practicality, keep the heat in with this Ellos Leopard Hat, £15. No animals were harmed in the creation of this hat, but we can’t promise you won’t get envious looks when you’re wearing it out and about. This hat has a silky satin lining and comes in a longer brown fur option too, depending on how daring you feel.
Last but not least, a winter wardrobe essential is a long, chunky Ellos Scarf, £17. It comes in Blue, Ecru or Grey, so we’ve opted for Blue to complement the pattern on the knit dress. Its knitted finish looks just like your Gran’s best handiwork, so wrap it haphazardly alongside other knitwear or contrast with other textures to be the most stylish sparkler waver in the west!

Oasis’s Oriental Collection has good points and bad points. On the plus side, the style is flattering no matter your shape and the cut is sleek and ultra feminine. It can be dressed up for work or dressed down on casual days and the accessories can add a fun and contemporary touch to an older outfit – great if you’re on a budget. The silk feels heavenly against your skin and has the advantage of being cool when it’s warm and warm when it’s cool.
On the downside, those hideous floral patterns are everywhere. They seem to be unavoidable at the moment and the silly shoulder details on a few of the dresses might drive you crazy. The tops can be a little shapeless looking and if you’re not careful, you could end up looking like a bag lady. Never a good look. However, there are a few key pieces that if you splash out on, you could make the look your own:

The Military Coat
This style is huge for winter 2011 and with the long length, nipped in waist and trendy funnell neck, it will keep the cold where it belongs and keep you looking as well as feeling great.
The Skinny Belt
There’s a big selection of these around with materials ranging from patent leather to leopard print. Jazz up that little black dress for parties.
The Long Scarf
Available in many materials, this is great for adding a touch of fun to an otherwise plain outfit. And it will keep you warm too.
And the ones to avoid:
The Lampshade Dress
Bad enough that you look like you’ve shot and skinned the sofa with that floral print, this makes your hips look enormous. Avoid.
Tunic Dress
Actually, if you can find one that has just one bold colour, this wouldn’t look too bad. It’s a flattering shape and versatile. But that print again… Yuck.

The media are abuzz with stories of Sarah Harding’s new look… Shock, horror! She’s dyed her hair! No longer the brassy bottle blonde, she’s gone for a dark, much more natural looking style that she revealed in all its glory at London Fashion Week. What a life changing experience that must have been.

Anyway, she’s bang on trend as this year’s slogan seems to be “all change” and it’s one that many celebrities and models are adopting. Brunettes are going blonde, blondes and going red and redheads are coveting raven tresses – it seems we always want what we don’t have. The point, however, is to choose a new look that
will make you feel fresh, youthful and above all, different. This doesn’t mean dying your hair bright purple and spiking it into a mohawk (thankfully. Although if that’s what floats your boat…) but it does mean putting some thought into your colour and deciding which suits you most, which will take the least maintenance in your busy lifestyle and which will make you feel like a million pounds. It would help if just one colour and style fits all these demands too.
Curls are still going strong, the more natural looking the better but remember to keep that definition with a spritz of frizz easing product – the scarecrow look is never a good one. The traditional up do is great for work or more casual days when you just don’t want long hair falling in your face. A few locks curling around the hairline is a great way to soften the look and make it oh-so-feminine.
If you simply can’t live without your straighteners, invest in a good brand. Shop around and you will be able to find the best deal on the cheapest GHD hair straighteners around (they are the best, no denying it) and please make sure you use heat protection spray to save your hair from looking and feeling like straw.

If you need a new evening dress this spring/summer you can’t go far wrong taking inspiration from the Cannes film festival.

Cannes is always a massive fashion parade and a good barometer for the latest trends. This year the key trends to come out of Cannes were white and lace. Perhaps it is the Royal Wedding effect but white and lace have been a huge hit with celebs since April. Both Pippa Middleton’s white Alexander McQueen bridesmaids dress and of course Catherine’s Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen dress with beautiful lace detailing seems to have sparked a trend.
At Cannes a number of celebs rocked the white look with Rachel McAdams rocking a Louis Vuitton creation and Cheryl Cole was seen wearing a plunging white Stephane Rolland number.
However, it was Uma Thurman who dominated the white look at Cannes she was photographed wearing a number of stunning white dresses. Her style choices included a beautiful white Chanel couture curve hugging number and a stunning Versace strapless dress with feather detailing.
It’s not just floor sweepers that look great in white in fact this season the little black dress can be put to the back of the wardrobe and instead can be replaced with the new wardrobe staple the “Little White Dress”.
It is a classic, clean, crisp and oh so chic option and looks far more summery than its black counterpart. However, it may be best to leave off the red wine when wearing one as it can obviously stain but it does look amazing. You can then add colour to your outfit with bright coloured shoes, bags and jewellery so you don’t look too bridal.
One of the hottest materials for your LWD has to be lace but if you don’t want to look like a bride, no matter how gorgeous the new Duchess of Cambridge looked on her wedding day, take inspiration from Dolce and Gabbana’s spring/summer catwalk. In order to break the look up concentrate on the right accessories so by adding coloured shoes and bags and good jewellery it will stop it looking too wedding and instead perfect for a good night out. Curvy ladies may be worried about wearing white but there are so many options out there for plus size evening dresses and casual dresses, there is surely one to fit every shape!

With summer on its way it time to start thinking about holidays and what wear on the beach and if there is one item that is so important to get right it has to be swimwear.
This season the catwalks were full of retro references so now is really the time to make sure that you look like a true beach goddess.
Whether you are bikini girl or more of a one piece lady there was definitely a style to suit you on the spring/summer catwalks.

On thing is for certain there is definite 50s feel to this season’s look for example Marc by Marc Jacobs went for a 50s style theme with belted floral costumes with a cute button detail. While bikinis are also going retro – think Elizabeth Taylor and you won’t go far wrong. Nanette Lepore, Michael Kors and Elie Tahari all opted for high waisted bottoms with bikini tops. If going for this look the trick is to think 50s pin up so on bikinis high waisted bottoms and halter necks are good details to look for while on costumes look for things like ruching for that nod to the 50s, while polka dots and stripes are good retro detailing. When it comes to styling this look go for wedge heels, a gorgeous bag, oversized sunglasses and either a big hat or headscarf for full on Hollywood glamour. Even if you are holidaying in Clacton you can still look like you are in St Tropez.
You can also channel one of this season’s big trends – colour blocking, by opting for beachwear in bright jewel like colours. Go for bright reds, blues or pinks to inject a bit of fun and colour into your beach wardrobe and of course to stand out (for the right reasons) on the sun lounger.
Whatever design you go for it is important to get a swimming costume or bikini that makes you feel comfortable and shows of your best assets. Therefore, shop around for a great piece and find one that makes you feel amazing wherever you go on holiday.

Mules are a popular footwear style of women’s shoes. Mules are shoes that do not have a back but do have an enclosed toe area. The designs of these shoes can range from being casual all the way to elegant with many styles in between. Mules can be flat shoes or come with a variety of heel heights. Chunky heels are also popular on today’s mules.
When buying any shoes, it is of course important to make sure they fit properly. This can be tricky to figure out if you’ve never worn a pair of mules. When a pair of mules fits properly, your heel will not overhang the back of the mule. If it does, then you need to look into a larger mule. The sides of your feet should also fit correctly into the mule. If your feet extend beyond the sides then they are not the proper size. Make sure when trying on mules, you walk around some with them on. This will help you decide whether you have selected the correct size.
Versatility is a key aspect of mules. They look great with many different outfits. You can pair them with trousers or even skirts. Typically, as the length of your skirt diminishes, so should the size of the heels on your pair of mules. Chunky heeled mules are ideals for women who have larger legs as they make your legs and ankles appear to be thinner. Chunky heeled mules are also a good choice for casual wear. The opposite is true for women who have thinner legs. They look best in mules that have thinner heels.
Mules can be worn with or without some sort of socks or hosiery. If you decide to wear mules with slacks or longer skirts, then you should wear some sort of socks or hosiery. However, if you are pairing your mules with shorter skirts, then you will want to wear simple sheer hosiery or consider just wearing your mules without any socks. This look usually isn’t quite appropriate for work. Bare legs just aren’t deemed appropriate for the office in many situations.

The trench coat is something that we’ve all seen and deemed to be either in style or not, as it generally comes down to the individual case. This year, one of the biggest fashion statements would have to be the trench, at least for the spring season. When it comes to the trench, especially this year with some impeccable styles, there is a slighter chance that anyone can actually go wrong with their option. The trench coat is something that has been improved throughout the years, and even though there are people who don’t like wearing them, they will still do well. Most of the time, people just don’t know what to wear with them.
In speaking in terms of women’s trenches, there’s only one hard and fast rule: be sure to wear something short underneath, no women should have to look like a Jedi. If it’s a draped item, it should be fine as well, as it also looks good with the trench. When it comes to colors, there’s a million different ways to go with the trench. It’s mostly important that it coordinates with most things in the closet. Also, one of the most important things would have to be the buttons and the belt that go along with the trench. Be sure that they’re fun, fashionable, and also can be matched with some very nice boots or heels.
The trench coat will continue to be something that will be really good for many outfits, and there’s something out there for everyone.

Worn by military and other masculine types, the utility jacket is one of the hottest things that are on the market today. They’re a really smart choice, namely because they work with anything, and they aren’t necessarily expensive. These jackets are some of the best that are out there, and many people have found that they absolutely adore all of the options that they have when considering these jackets, and they definitely are a sight to behold. Their stint on the runway made them one of the hottest items of the year, and surely, we’re going to see them explode very soon.
As a rule, they are a little bulky, have a lot of buttons with pockets on the front. Also, they may have a cinch going around the jacket, adding a nice piece of flair to the jacket. Also, the utility jacket is amazing because of the bag that it’s worn with. A shoulder bag is suggested with the utility jacket, and it really gives way for the utility aesthetic, as it seems as if a person may actually have some kind of gear inside of the bag. All in all, it’s just a really fun look, and definitely something that many others will envy.
This year, we’re probably going to see quite a few people wearing these jackets, for a variety of different outings. They’re fun, lightweight, and they definitely do not break the bank. There’s the chance that any person who wants them to be able to find them at their favorite shop or boutique.

There are some things in fashion that just stand the test of time. We’ve seen many different things that are timeless, jeans, plaid, leather, are just to name a few. Something else that definitely ages well is the pea coat, and this year, it is certainly no different. In the colder months, we all want something that can keep us warm, but we also want something that looks excvellent at the same time. No one wants to look bad, even though they may be fighting the cold. Fortunately, a pea coat will do just that, and when paired with other accessories, it can really make a person look their very best.
For this season, probably the best way to go would happen to be of the double breasted variety. It’s a classic look that doesn’t seem to be loosing any steam, as long as the buttons flow well with the cut and color of the coat itself. The pea coat warrants other items to look just as stylish, so there’s no room to slack in other areas. Sleek lace up boots of an complimenting color work very well here, and we definitely can’t forget about the scarf. Also, the shirt underneath isn’t too much of a concern here, as long as it flows naturally with the coat, or maybe a slight contrast in color, just don’t get too out of control with it.
The pea coat is one that will make any outfit look great, and even improve the look of an outfit that may be a little flat.

Very has made it extremely easy to shop online for top of the range clothes and goods for the home. Adding an informative and helpful networking tool, Very customers are able to obtain information about products or trends. Another part of the site that many users confess is their favourite part are the bundles.
You might wonder what exactly a bundle is. Bundles are featured on Very as a specific selection of products. All of the products can be purchased at Very. The bundles are created by Very staff including Insiders and Buyers or perhaps Celebs affiliated with Very. The items included in a bundle are groups of items that a customer might purchase all together as a coordinated unit. They could be items to furnish a specific room in your home with a specific type of décor. A bundle might also be a well put together and coordinated outfit of women’s clothing, complete with matching accessories. Bundles can also include items from different categories but that come together to accomplish a specific task.
Many Very customers have inquired how they can create bundles. As of now, customers cannot create bundles themselves. However, as Very continues to provide customers with more and more of what they want, customer created bundles could be a reality in the very near future. Stay tuned for more details on this exciting possibility.
All products on the Very site can be rated by customers who have purchased the items. This too hold true for bundles. Rating a bundle is actually quite simple. One just selects from a thumbs down button for a dislike rating or a thumbs up rating for a like rating. This feature is quite similar to the like button found on the social networking site, Facebook. Another way the Very site has added the social component to online shopping.
If you find a bundle you want to purchase, you simply click a buy button. This will take you to a screen where you can easily select all the items. This saves perusing through numerous screens for each item, saving you a “bundle” of time!
